As far as I know, they folded when their record deal fell through, right about when they were set to release their record. Shame I guess. Not that I was ever a huge fan, but bloody bad timing for them.
Matt Thomas still plays solo shows in Ballarat every once in a while.

interviewer dude: so, you worked at mcdonalds for 2 years, yes? me: yup. id: what skills do you believe you picked up there that would be useful if you worked for us? me: (mental blank) um... (extended period of silence) um... well, i learnt how to, ah, use initiative, because we hardly ever worked under supervision... um... (so on) times that by 2 (some other easy question i couldn't think to answer) and we have one bad interview. that and when i got there he was busy, so i had to look through stuff (he took forever!) and my hands started shaking, and next thing you know the rack of clothing i'm looking through are all over the ground. i'm normally good in interviews, but this dood asked stupid questions, and the fact that i hadn't really slept the night before (do i ever sleep? ) didn't help any. ah well, he pretty much told me i wouldn't get it because of my lack of experience anyway. as per usual.

i do tend to exaggerate sometimes, so it wasn't *that* bad. though it wasn't great. dunno. but yeah, i have to aim a bit lower i think, due to my lack of experience.

wonder what happend to all the tracks they would of recorded? bug them to give me a copy, will ya captain? I wouldn't really feel comfortable doing that. I'm not even sure they'd still have them. As for the breakup, I'm not 100% what happened but I think they switched labels but decided to break up to do other things (one of which is now Junkatique) before anything was released on the new label. In regards to band news: First gig with Robbie is somewhere in Geelong on Friday night. Dempsey night... Not happy. I'm going to party with them once they get back later that night (and maybe Sparky too) cos Saturday is my day off. And I'll catch them the following Thursday at Goo (Metro). There's also one in early June in Ballarat. I might travel up there because I haven't had a road trip in a while, might be fun. I have gone through 5 nicknames in three weeks since I met them. DiCaprio DiCaps D-Cap D-Cup The Cup I was lucky enough to be at their rehearsal yesterday. Like a private concert for one person. Although once they started on the new songs it became more stilted, trying new things, stuffups, changing the tuning of the song... It was awesome seeing the creative process first-hand. First single coming out soon is going to be Rev It Up. Look forward to hearing radio DJ's cliche-ing it up with that title. OK that's all.
