This is going to be excellent. Tool, Femmes, and can't wait to see the Killers. I'm not looking forward to being trampled by the mindless emo herds who will be there to see My Chemical Romance.

I thought there was a good chance of a really good lineup this year, considering how many albums by good bands have come out, but nothing up there excites me much...not enough to spend $100 + anyway.

Muse Muse Muse! I'm seeing them at the first Melbourne show too!
I'll wait for a few more bands to sign on for BDO though...

Sounds shit to me!
Yup, i'm always negative, but there's nothing there that'd get me out of bed.
And *vomit* to the pitiful new Muse.

Heh. I just realised I lost Karma. I wonder if it was for saying I disliked Damn Arms in another thread...

being in adelaide i'm willing to pay that for muse and some of 'support' acts.
have seen them three times and have loved every show. favourite is still at the Gov (Adelaide) in 2000. touriung showbiz at an intimate venue blew me away!
don't mind the killers stuff either and there's always a handful of decent aussie bands and new o/s bands to passs the time. nice.
anyword on SFK for BDO?

For me that's an incredibly poor line up after the genius of last year. Even if the 2nd announcement is really good I would almost certainly not go just because of the lame crowd element it'll get with the MCR fans and a lot (though not all) of the Tool and Muse fanboys.
Interesting that they have Spank Rock on there though - seems really out of place.
I guess it's a good thing they aren't many good bands coming out for it - I already have bunch of sideshows I want to see for Falls and Meredith (Tapes 'n Tapes, Modest Mouse, New Pornos, Neko Case, Band of Horses, maybe the Basement Jaxx NY at Bondi thing...)

Muse are great live, even if Black Holes and Revelations isn't as good as their other albums. Tool will be interesting to see, hopefully the crowd won't be as hectic as the slipknot moshpit (don't worry I am not a Slipknot fan).
The Aussie Bands however are what I'm really going to BDO for. Something For Kate (of course), You am I, Little Birdy and The Butterfly Effect (may be surprisingly good live).

Wahoo! I just got an email last night that I got some tickets in the ballots (that were supposed to be over) so i'm going to the BDO... weeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I'm really looking forward to seeing The Killers, Muse, Eskimo Joe, Butterfly Effect, Faker (and of course SFK) but I'm also looking forward to checking out Tool, The Presets, Femmes, You Am I, Jet and maybe Little Birdy and John Butler - they are bands I'd probably never pay to see at their own show but would be interested to see live...

I got my tickets today that get me into the guest bar, wheee
Why is it that in every other city you can see SFK, You Am I and Tool but you can't in sydney? grrr. Aside from that the timetable is pretty sweet

I went to Muse last night (30th), managed to squeeze myself and my girl into second row right in front of Matt and boy it was amazing. They're just amazing live and 82.90 is a bit pricey but worth it. MUSE!
