Funnily enough, the NZ v Sth Africa games have been by far the most entertaining and watchable (from a cricket watcher's point). Kallis and Cairns, today's 57 off 32 from Mark Boucher... Brilliant.

Interesting few matches coming up!!
Im just thinking......If aus beat NZ on tuesday....then the SA v NZ game could become a farse(spelling).....because it would then become advantagous(spelling?) for NZ if they are losing to make sure that SA get the bonus point.

I don't thnik (spelling?) that it will be a farce... You are assuming that New Zealand would prefer to play South Africa than Australia. Should that situation occur, then New Zealand will still prefer to be aganst(spelling?) us in the finals, they've beaten us every time (except for that upcoming match which we will assume we win), and they finished 0-0 in the test series. Sorry about the cynical joke... All in fun, no malice intended. It's advantageous and farce...

thanks for the spelling tips No Im talking about the points Aus beat NZ go to 13 SA beat NZ go to 17 Aus beat NZ go to 17 If that happens all finish on 17 I dont know who is in!? but if in that situation NZ give SA a bonus point then NZ will go through and Aus will be out!

Its funny coz if Aust. win the next two games with a bonus point, they still won't make it.
But if they lose this one and win the next, NZ have to win to get Aust into the finals.
Very weird........

if they all end up tied on 17 points, then i think its likely that Aust. will miss out....i seem to remember them having the worst net run rate....
but its no use looking at what might be at this stage - there are just far too many possibilities to consider. We really have to wait for this game to be played. All the teams need to win full stop

the current points table is nz - 17 sa - 13 aus - 9
the 3 games left (in order) are aus. vs. nz nz. vs. sa aus vs. sa
it would be cool if -
aus beats nz nz beats sa
setting up a huge playoff between sa and aus - the winner to make the final. (it would probably get washed out).

New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming has been fined 40% of his match fee after being found guilty of misconduct during his team's two wicket VB Series loss to Australia in Melbourne yesterday.
Sucked in to Fleming....
Australia has the 2nd best net run rate........
But I still believe in a Symo and Gillie opening partnership and if Tugga can bowl a full 10 overs then we could bring in another batting all rounder e.g. Lehmann or even Katich or Hussey...

I've got this cricket game and it's from 1998/99 but no matter... I've been using Gilly and Symonds to open the batting and it's been working a treat. Martin Love is my star #4 and Shane Lee is the best all-rounder in Australia.
