No, not another topic about giving Paul head... I'm referring to the band...
There really hasn't been a 'supergroup' since Cream. If there was going to be one, who could be in it?
I'd definitely give Dave Grohl a run somewhere. Obviously. But think, there's so many different styles you could base it on... Imagine, for a moment:
Vocals: Mike Patton (Faith No More) and Alicia Keys
Lead guitar: Paul Dempsey (SFK)
Rhythm guitar: Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam)
Bass guitar: The guy from Radiohead, forget his name
Piano/keyboard: Ben Folds
Turntables: (Both of the) Chemical Brothers
Drums: Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Foo Fighters)
And the all-Australian lineup:
Vocals: Alex Lloyd
L Guitar: Paul Dempsey
R Guitar: Tim Rodgers (You Am I)
Bass: Lex can't remember his name from Frenzal Rhomb (I love the bass intro to Punch in the Face)
Piano: Tim Freedman
Turntables: one or two from the Avalanches or Resin Dogs
Drums: Kram (Spiderbait)
I'm thinking of the band as a whole, and I thought Kram would be good cause he can also sing if need be... Tim and Paul would mesh well. And in the World band, I went with Patton cause he can sing so many different styles, he can sing slow, fast, rap, very versatile. Love it. I put Dave Grohl in at drums but I could easily move him to R guitar and maybe have Lars Ulrich from Metallica at drums. Shit I'm talking about it like it's a footy team!
Of course you could put Clint and Steph in but I didn't want to be too predictable.
