Banners

well...... its come to my attention that some people don't like the use of my banner in my sig. so....... i think that it should be voted on whether people from now on should use banners or not if they wish...... i'm happy to take mine down if everyone has a problem.... but at the same time it would be unfair if everyone else got to use banners, wouldn't it

so, lets vote if you want

Maybe the question you should have asked was 'should banners as large as mine be allowed in sigs?'.

I know there's not a culture of it here but Fishboy's banner seems to be pretty small compared to banners people post on other boards. For example:

i'm in agreeal with tiberius...... though my point my be unvalid as i am the offender using the banner, but i do also run a forum, where i have rules about banners. i allow them but i thing they should be wide and not tall.......
i don't consider mine big..... its a small rectangle and should fit the say something guidelines (which don't exist anyway) quite well

and as for bad banners this one was the worst...... it was at the sinch and copro forums (a bad coincidence they were at 2 forums i go to) and this person was notorios for one word replies and smilie only replies..... of course they got given a big fuck off from everyone which resulted in arguments much worse than those tiberius was involved in........ so heres the awful banner:

well that banner is bad enough to have that effect........ but mayne not as bad as you experienced

If people were complaining about the banner it would probably just be the size. But since we don't have practically any users with banners it doesn't make that much difference to loading time [unlike other forums with just about all the posters having huge banners on the bottom]
