I went to see the Three Bens play on Saturday night here in the Gold Coast. It was freakin amazing and i really suggest you all go out and pay your $50 to see these guys. It was quite a unique way to see Kweller, Lee and Folds play their songs and the whole night kind of has the feeling that it is just one extended jam. We all know Ben Lee can be a bit of a precocious you know what but i couldn't fault him all night, his new songs were great and he played the best ones from his previous album. As you'd expect Ben Folds was amazing. Being part of the saxophone section for Army was so much fun, and you get to see Brick performed with a bit of an interesting slant. And Ben Kweller was hysterical all night and he held his own against the other guys.

Ooh. I'm dying to go, but tickets would've sold out by now, yeah? That and no one I know is going. Grr. They're doing 2 shows though. Ooh. I want to gooo.

Yeah its one gig you just can't miss.
Just got back from Badly Drawn Boy. Wasn't too bad at all, he played for about 2 and a half hours. Be warned though if your planning on going because he mainly stuck to stuff from the new album and the About A Boy soundtrack. It would have been nice to have heard songs like disillusion and Another Pearl but it was still enjoyable.

Do they come out and all play together or seperately?

They all start out together for a couple of songs and then lee and fold will walk off and Kweller plays for awhile. Then during the rest of his set Folds or Lee will come back for a song or two. Then Lee will start playing and then it will be all three again. Finally Folds comes on and he plays for awhile, Lee comes out and they do a very funny cover song (i won't spoil it for you). Then they will finish all together. And a three song encore at the end. In total they play for just under 2 and a half hours.
