Is anyone else disturbed by the TV coverage by all the networks of this war for the last hour and the next 4 hours or so? I can't believe they have a camera over baghdad waiting for the bombs so we can all watch these people die likes it entertainment. I find it really sickening ...

sickening....i cant think of a word to describe this. human life has lost all value and credibility it seems.... you know....that could resemble any city you know, an apartment building in any city like ours.

HOORAY!
The world has officially gone to hell, again.
I wonder how many people are going to die this time around so that the US can get some more oil fields under its control.

The media's having a field day with this war.
And don't think that we won't suffer for it - they'll make a dull movie starring Tom Hanks that'll make millions and win a pile of Oscars.

The media is like a pack of vultures, they'll circle around its prey when they smell death and destruction. They feed the masses fear and we readily eat it up and ask for more.

I just heard some US army guy say on the news, "it's hammertime!" America's secret weapon.

I have two kids here who are frightened to death and ask me 'are we going to die this week from this stupid war?'. I hate the coverage. I hate the whole fucking war.

Look, i'm not niave enough to believe that we're not going to see something the US military doesn't want us to see, but any coverage at all is better than having a nation of people uninformed. If things get really ugly and violent, i hope they do show it all - they wont - but they should. Maybe it will make people wake up and realise that *shock horror* bad things happen at war time, innocent people die and that maybe, just maybe we're doing a bad thing...by ignoring coverage, i think the networks would be showing even less value and credibility to human life - people wouldn't be seeing the consequences, people wouldn't be informed, and people wouldn't be asking questions.

Actually, the war coverage is fucking excellent. I'm going to spend the weekend naked on my lounge eating raw meat and smoking cuban cigars while innocent Iraqi's are killed by the thousands.
Whoops - sorry guys. I just smacked my head on a falling avil and thought I was John Laws - war mongering scumbag.

Clint Eastwood might play George W Bush in the movie about the war. Thora Birch can play one of his daughters perhaps.

Actually, I had a different role in mind for Thora. I've sent her agent a script for the sequel to Deep Throat. In my debut film performance, I'll be playing her leading man.

What's with that big air strike they have been talking up? I'm starting to think they have no intention of doing it at all, that they are just talking it up trying to scare the Iraqi's ... LOL @ Hammertime, i saw that, stupid American soldiers. I also saw some commander fool who was talking to all the guys before they left and his name was 'William Wallace'. Yeah, he wishes ...

I think seeing the people in hospitals is worse than the all the other times i've seen the same thing on tv (i.e. Sept 11, Bali, etc) because i look at it and think gee this is what we stand for, we're happy to kill innocent people.
