so, there's this bright eyes show at the metro that i want to go to but i need an ID as im not 18 til june.. i look like this but generally less spazzy:  so if anyone knows anyone in sydney who kinda semi looks like me and is over 18 i'll bake you a cake or something cause i REAAALLLY want to go. emo kids! wee! |

they announced some agggeess ago..then they were cancelled and then i was sad, and now there's one at the metro and one in melbourne somewhere too

1. i can pass for 23 no problem.
2. ive had my hair cut and dyed darker since then so now im cultivating a proper floppy to one side emo fringe which will, fingers crossed, be ready by april

I know your pain. I'm not sure what state you're in (melbourne?) but where I am (ade-freaking-laide) being underage means it's easy to get booze from bottle-o's, but not pubs, and some gigs are hard to get into. How much of a bitch is it to be 17 and a fucking half eh?

I also got into the SFK heaven gig (I assume that's what you went there for Melanie?  )when I was 17, with an expired ID of someone who looked nothing like me. No mess, no fuss. That was a great ID! Yeah, it's like the place to be in Adelaide if you're a wang. (That said, Dempsey played there on the Singularity tour.) They have those metal detector things like at the airport as you go in, and go through your bag, and charge you $10. FFS. I've never seen that anywhere else, but I'm not that cool, so who knows. It's got like 12 million bits and... yeah. It's tres cool, apparently. Anyway, it's one of those "must check ID" places, and I still got in. Who knows.
