my father was conceived in Latvia, but his parents fled here soon after. he was born here but his first language was latvian, my grandparents having no knowledge of english. he learnt english playing soccer in the street with other little boys. so that makes me half latvian i guess. my mum's anglo-saxon, but we have an interesting family history on that side, well i find it interesting, anywho, thats it for me. cheerio

My family history's pretty boring - I was born here, so were my parents, and their parents. My mum's side originates from Scotland, my dad's side from England. We lived in the US for a few years which, although it obviously doesn't change my nationality, has left me with a slight accent.

I was born in Australia, and so were both my parents. My grandparents on my Dad's side came from England (at least one did...not actually sure about the other, but I think so...), and my grandparents on my Mum's side were both born in Australia.

I and my parents were born here, as were my grandparents. My Mum's family are from England somewhere back, i assume my Dad's were as well, but my step-father's parents moved here from England about 30 years ago. And he also has family in Canada.

I was born in Australia and so were my parents and grandparents. Beyond that it starts getting overseas. Danish, Swiss, and English (mainly English), on my maternal grandmother's side and Scottish and Irish (mainly Irish) on my maternal grandfather's side. I don't know much about my father's genealogy other than that there's a bit of English, and very likely quite a bit of French (well, with a surname like Duval you'd think so).
