A month is reasonable... We'll have a couple of recommended books on the go to keep the troops interested... A few recommendations from me would be for starters: for sparky: "Hollywood Husbands" by Jackie Collins others include: "the Bear and the Dragon" by Tom Clancy "How to travel with a salmon" by Umberto Eco "The future eaters" by Tim Flannery and for the masochists out there who REALLY like a challenge "American Visions" by Robert Hughes and "Kant and the platypus" by Umberto Eco. That should do for now... 8)

i reckon! i recently received Focault's Pendulum & have been trying very hard to read it, cept my brain seems only able to handle small amounts at a time. i thought it would be on the same difficulty level as Sophies World by Jostein Gaardner (good for the philosophically minded, inspired me when i was 12) Can someone give me an idea how long this book is gonna take me, taking into account my ever decreasing attention span??

You've managed to get a copy of 'Focault's Pendulum' ? I've been looking everywhere for a copy of that... Believe me sparky, ol' Jackie would be right up your alley
