I had an epiphany of sorts at work today I was sweeping, and funnily enough, not concentrating especially hard on it Aaaaaaaaanyway...Triple M was on in the background...my boss's favorite station dontchaknow...and the announcer played and acoustic version of Drive by Incubus...claiming it was recorded Live @ the Palace last year. Now I listened...and cause I pay attention to these sorta things (*nitpicker* it struck me that the version they played is actually on the Drive Single. I stood there wondering why he would lie about it...and ended up getting quite pissed off...'cause I'm sad like that, hehe The more I thought about it though, the more I decided that working as a program director (Or more to the point, one who gets it right) would be really fecking cool...so now I'm thinking about leaving uni to get into radio...formulative stages at the moment...but hmmm

The urge to be that nasty bastard at parties who won't let anyone else near the stereo is *really* strong SFKFM...dedicated to playing stuff that's not shit I like it!

I am that bastard at parties. Whenever I get pissed I have to dominate the stereo. Probably pisses my friends off. Oh well, fuck em ;D
The only thing I have against triple j is that I like to hear songs I know and some that I don't... But on triple j you hardly ever hear familiar songs... I love to sing along.
I'm really more of a CD person, but the Net 50 is one of the best programs on radio.
Triple M isn't much better though cause they just play crap, and they play the same crap ad fucking nauseum. And they play "brand new" songs six months after the Js did.

thats the thing about triple j, they are pretty up-to-date on their shit, and their announcers seem to know what they are talking about. and i like half of them, which helps. and they dont play crappy commercials (thank god!). they do play a pretty diverse range of music too, a lot i havent heard, but i think thats good, it allows me to come to appreciate many groups i simply wouldnt hear otherwise. but they dont play enough sfk, and they have over-played their live @ the wireless set. i swear ive heard that 8 times on the j's now. heh. it doesnt help that i have it myself on cd and listen to it all the time i guess though. ;D

The worst thing about Triple M is the arrogance of the DJ's...they're certain they know everything about Band X...when really, they don't have a fucking clue. Perhaps they're just lazy. But Shimmer by Fuel was played...and the guy made a joke about the fact that they've ended up in the "Where Are They Now" bin...if he'd done a bit of homework...he may find that their second album has gone double platinum in America...but nup. I'd kill to hear some You Am I on the station though It's all moot for me anyway. I'm radio-challenged...every time I tune in I get the "And that was (Insert song or bunch of songs Glen really likes here). Next up...(Insert songs Glen DOESN'T like here)". I just listen to cds instead...makes it easier
