True true. There's a real strength to Peter's voice in especially the chorus in the original version that just isn't there in the cover.

Im going against popular opinion here and saying I actually liked it, hated it at first , but it grows on you!
I like when the cover of a song is significantly different to the origonal

First time I heard the cover of Firestarter I was surprised as I didn't even recognise the song, it was just not what I'd expected. But after numerous listens it has grown on me. Another great cover is

Speaking of covers, does anyone have a good quality version of I Got You by SFK? The one I've got leaves much to be desired.
I want it so I can learn it and then whn people have the split enz version at karaoke i can sing it. the only SFK sang song i get to sing on karaoke is genie in a bottle! LOL

They don't even have Monsters on the karaoke list? Every time I've seen SFK play Monsters EVERYONE in the crowd has known the lyrics and sings along.

Nup, not even Monsters. I think Captain would be one of the most known SFK songs but. It has the chorus everyone can drunkenly sing along to.
