I thought The Vines turned an incomprehensible ostentatious annoying crappy rap song into a nice accoustic guitar ballad. Agreed. i quite liked their cover of Miss Jackson, compared with the original. I also agree that the slower acoustic songs on highly evolved are better. Although I do especially like 1969, it'd make an awesome live song. |

I thought I'd also just point out that I agree with what someone said about Australian music being promoted overseas by The Vines, which is absolutely true. It will promote our local bands, which is fantastic as we have so much to offer.....BUT it could also have the opposite affect, demoting Australian music. The Vines obviously have caused controversy in their home country so it's probable they are doing similar overseas.
