i don't have The Captain... too poor right now. but when i spoke to her (yeah i interviewed her too) she told me some of those tracks were written 10 years ago (not NECCESARILY a bad thing...)... and from seeing her live, i think her earlier work is a lil less honed and a lil more straight-up country than B+B. but don't quote me on that.

yeah i liked the first album
i guess i just got turned off him when i saw him on the tour (for his last album)
he was playing to a backing tape. the vocals, guitars, bass and everything was live, but there was a constant backing tape with all the noises just how they are on the album and that pretty much sucked.
apart from that, live he was good. it wouldve been much cooler if they hadve tried to make some of the sounds live or just realised they cant recreate a studio recorded and polished album live.
thats why i love seeing bands live, its always raw, and different to what you listen to @ home everyday

Agreed katy, when bands can cut it live (no fairy floss) it's just pure magic

It sounds...I dunno...less produced than Black The Sun...more raw...ummm...less of the beeps and backing tracks. His voice is a bit more muffled in places
Bus Ride is the greatest song I think he's ever done ;D
I'm yet to see him live, through one drama or another, but it sounds like an album that would be easier to reproduce in concert
