Hi guys,
I'm going to be coming through Sydney on Friday 21st of Jan on my way home from Mudgee, and I was wondering if perhaps some of the peeps I've met before (and some of you I have yet to meet) would like to get together that night for dinner and a couple of drinks.
I promise it won't go on until 6am nor will it involve Charlie Chans.
So, here is what I propose.
7.30pm - bbq king (chinese) 18-20 Goulburn St, Sydney From Town Hall Station, head south down George St, turn right into Goulburn St. A seven-minute walk.
There would be some nostalgia involved, as this is also the location of the first Sydney Kater' meet.
Reply or PM me if you are interested.

I am absolutely underwhelmed by the lack of interest from you collective porch monkeys in this endeavour.
Maybe I should play a guilt trip card.
I'm very lonely.....

not to worry, I am definitely there. My prebooked Countrylink tix say as much, and I am holding them in my hot little hand.
Looking forward to it, although I am hoping more people confirm. At the moment is is just me, Steph and Amy.
BTW - can anyone remember what the BYO status of BBQ King was?

Please don't bail on this meet Jussy, I will be forced to forcibly insert a book in your anus. But I am curious which book it would be - I'm thinking a copy of War & Peace would tear me up, both figuratively and literally.

Count me in too. I'll bring the entire Tree of Knowledge Encyclopaedia set that we bought when I was in primary school. Might be useful for Stephanie if she wants to go to town on Justin.

I will come too.
BBQ King has BYO apparently (as well as being licensed) - corkage $3.50 per person.

Corkage is applied to each person that BYO's (typically beer or wine) to a restaurant. If you order a drink off the menu, you won't be charged it.
With corkage included, it is still generally cheaper to BYO to places that also sell alcohol on the premises, the mark ups are absolutely f*cking incredible.
Town Hall it is. 7.30pm, any people more than a few minutes late can make their own f*cking way there.
So, now we have:
Justin Amy Stephanie Mark Pete

okay, we have six, which is a nice number for dinner, but we could probably squeeze in a couple more.
Lou, what are you and your dog collar doing Friday night?

well, I am undecided, but I was thinking of bringing Jasper along for dinner.
The only catch is, if we wanted to have a drink afterwards, I'd need to drop him off at my brothers place opposite Bristol Arms in Sussex St.
What do you guys think?

it wouldn't be a massive pain in the arse to drop Jasper off after dinner if we were actually headed to a pub that was near Retro - I can think of a couple, including the Irish pub Donaghues (sic?) in Kent St.
Would appreciate input from the others attending as well. He's a good baby, loves new faces!

Okay, I'm leaning towards bringing the little man. I'm going to need to hijack two chairs in the restuarant for him to sleep on (as we don't travel with his pram, but I have his carrying harness) on a blanket, but it should all be quite cool.

Steph, I guess I owe it to you to bring Jasper along because of the let down with your birthday and the Sydney picnic. Don't fear, it is happening this time - I've got the ticket, and assuming I'm not run down by a lorry at some point in the week, I'll be in the area.
Try to limit the goos and gaas to a couple please.
Mmmmmm, BBQ King, Triad Owned and Operated!
