could anyone tell me about sigur ros or bjork? Bjork is completely fucking crazy, but every so often she comes out with one of THOSE songs, that twist all your insides up and leave your jaw agape. Sigur Ros are okay, but largely inaccessible. Deane likes them more than most.

i think i'm in love with conor oberst. bought fevers and mirrors yesterday, couldn't stop listening to it so i had to get lifted today so i wouldn't overplay the other one.... i confess that it was the mirror in the cover of fevers and mirrors that sold me to it at first though... damn that clever packaging.
i already love ryan adams (well duh.) and i like snow patrol more and more each listen, but i've only got final straw so far. i listened to the alkaline trio a little bit a few years ago too before i rejected everything modern that calls it's self punk after reading some stuff about kurt cobain (not punk, i realise, but he had the idea right and was the reason i finally got what it meant.) so maybe i should give them another chance. i think cooking wine was the song i listened to most... and i think their music wasn't quite interesting sounding enough for me to really like it.
i love love love damien rice. but he'll have to hurry up and release some more music to keep me though.
death cab for cutie i will get into soon when my bank account recovers from christmas and my recent splurging...
i think i'm getting into the whole folk-y thing at the moment... though i don't know... i never know what things are. damien rice and bright eyes anyway... beth orton too... they're all kinda folk right? and ryan adams too, but he's everything anyway so he hardly counts...
actually black flag were one of ra's first loves as well. perhaps i should listen to some of that stuff... what's it like anyway?
and just randomly 'cause i only just remembered... what's pavement like and is it something that i have to get?

id hate to think some balding ceo is handing out emotion and people buying if i knew more id give more i think i will Like same CEO who handed us (although not emo, unless you count frustratedness) The Vines? I appear to have been educated about emo. I had previously lumped Simple Plan into the genre, and they can probably stay there as the crapola brand emo. But now of course I know not to trust the radio to define a genre...

radio is just part of the big machine.ever notice no song is longer than 3or4 minutes(on the mainstream channels such as mmm or nova)?trying to shove as much crap in as possible(a bit like television really).and these staions are by law suppsed to play about 20% australian music(depending on its frequency and stuff like that i cant remeber).i think thats the right amount for class a.but they usually cheat and play it during the middle of the night while most of us sleep.thats the good thing about FBI.they play 50% ausrtalian music,25 of that for sydney artists alone. and thats why they need our support.
