I just hired out '50 First Dates', 'Thirteen', 'Secretary' and '..and your mama too!' (that foreign language one). Yay themes of sex!

Maggie Gyllenhaal. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.
James Spader should be put out to pasture away from movies with naughty undertones however.

It was weird. And Your Mother Too... was a bit off. Haha, yay sex.
I saw The Butterfly Effect tonight. I love the idea behind it, reminds me how I felt after seeing Identity. Fairly awful story though (the idea). :/

Fairly awful story though (the idea). :/ get a hold of Stephen Hawkings book a brief history of time if you dig the idea behind butterfly effect.... some say its very possible indeed! (except of course not all of us will star in great cinema pieces such as "Dude wheres my car") while reading it you can also pick out the numerous ideas that have inspired some sfk/dempsey songs. very thought provoking

i saw this a couple of weeks ago, should have said something then, but Fahrenheit 9/11 is very good some of it is a bit over the top witchhunt, but most of it is very interesting, seeing how all the plays were done behind the scenes, leaves you doubting george bush even more than before

It didn't hit home for me as much as 'Bowling For Columbine'. Not completely sure why though.

Melly, have you read "Dude, Where's my Country?". I found Fahrenheit 9/11 a little underwhelming because it rehashed a lot of the themes and evidence in the novel.

i'm bit of a Michael Moore fan myself. i've seen Fahrenheit 9/11 and Bowling For Columbine, and read Stupid White Men and Dude Where's My Country.. his show The Awful Truth is out at video shops to rent, you should hire it. It doesn't just focus on Bush etc... it has a lot of other stuff in it. All the articles on him though are dodgy.. they always ask stuff about how he feels about being mean to Bush, why he shows all the bad stuff about him etc... you wonder (well not really, it's pretty obvious) why the Australian media seem to be defending George Dubya..

Yeah, F 9/11 was alright. The bit where they showed Iraq (? i think it was Iraq, or Afghanistan?) before the US invaded was all flying kites and children playing in the park. I thought that was a bit dodge. But the bits where it talked about the way Bush, his family and others all have links to all the oil companys and to the bin ladens etc was interesting, i didn't know they had that much of a proliferation in those areas.

Yes, I have. Have you read 'Downsize This!'? I've been following this man for a long time, m'dear.
Lou, apparently the bits where they were showing how it was before they started bombing the crap out of them, was to show there were so many innocent civilians killed, because so many of the bombs were off target, and it's unfair they had to die because of it. He wasn't trying to say it was some kind of paradise, but basically show it wasn't all completely fucked before we got there.

I'm a fan of Moore, but I will concede he is as manipulative as they come with they way his documentaries are presented.
