just noticed that..
yes! see it. best fucking movie ever! well, actually, it's not a very good movie in the sense that there isn't much suspense and the plot doesn't really exist... but it's all about what is said. it's pretty much a huge philosophical debate, the whole movie. and it's a cartoon...they taped it on a hand held camera and then used all this trippy technology to paint over the images and it makes it look like an alternate reality (how fitting.. no?).
i reccommend it if you like thinking in movies. otherwise you get bored because the whole movie is just philosophy.

I must admit I find rather strange essences within a movie to make my judgement. The Thin Red Line especially, its combination of sounds, music, visual aid and length. Other movies of merit include:
The Two Towers (A very powerful film excellently transferred from a powerful novel) Fire Walk with Me (Certain parts I don't like but some of the overall themes are quite creepy and though boggling. I would include Twin Peaks, but it isn't a film) Amelie (Just beautiful for a happy film, It takes a good deal out of routine and adds a magical feel to life)

ummmm Seven The Shawshank Redemption High Fidelity Amelie The Legend of Drunken Master The Usual Suspects mm, i should really write down the ones i like, cause i don't like these ones THAT much Seven is amazing though. on edit: Magnolia Punchdrunk Love Apocolypse Now The Professional Good Will Hunting and about 'Waking Life', i didn't really give it much chance, but i loved this other film that the director did called, Before Sunrise with Ethan Hawke...it was very dialgoue driven, which i love. I also want to see Tape. But yeah, Waking Life didn't do it for me, i was trying to watch it at 1am on a sunday morning on dodgy headphones though...I might borrow it out again one day. *Kim is currently searching for a movie buddy to go see good film....his friends are all bums.

Garage Days(if you didn't like it you are asking too much from it) i disagree entirely... that movie is a perfectly good example of a film maker getting their first decent budget and using it to pleasure them selves with eye candy effects
