Yes but they were great, this is what I liked about the film, it parodied the subculture as well as bringing to the fore the relevant ideals of them. With the way the story ended it posed a question or rather incited the audience to change the ending in their own lives. I went to see it with the drummer of my band and we both had different reactions to the ending it made her realise the futility of wanting to be part of it, and it incited me to further myself. It's the only movie since Dogs in Space that even hits close to my reality. The movie set itself out as a charicature and parody from the start with it's titling of characters. And if you think the ending was easy or Lazy, look at the beloved Fight Club, because that is the biggest writers cop out I have seen in years. the performances were brilliant and sure it had some great lines in it. But that kind of änd then I woke up" writing arc is a totally lazy attempt at a concept. The Sixth Sense is the same.

i never said the ending was lazy...
considering some of the shite the australia film industry as produced of late, yeah, its one of its better efforts..
my only ishcue with it was that the effects started to distract from the stroyline and characters etc..
like the water drop...i was too absorbed by the water drop to be playing close attention to the monologue
maybe im easily distracted and stupid

I find most movies unamusing. Mainly because I can see right through.

.......you do that same! i find myself analysing the acting and the nature of the reality of the screen when i watch a movie more than actually watching the movie..

Before Sunrise with Ethan Hawke...it was very dialgoue driven, which i love.. I Love LOVE LOVE Before Sunrise. Its just so simple and beauitful. I also want to see Tape. Let me know if you have seen it as I haven't had a chance as yet. If you like dialogue movies, try to see "12 Angry Men" - its just fantastic.

i haven't had a chance to see Tape yet, argh. It was in one cinema 2-3 months ago in brisbane, but i didn't go, no one else really wanted to I read that it was coming out on dvd a couple of months ago as well, but i guess that hasn't came yet. Evil. It was funny, i was at home from uni one day and checked out the tv guide and Before Sunrise was a midday movie. First time i saw it, best midday movie i've ever seen i'll try to find 12 Angry Men. Thanks for that!
