I WANT TO SEE ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND I got round to seeing this the other hmm afternoon it was. Was quite good - was everything I wanted it to be I think. Did it's job and raise some thought provoking questions as well as having an interesting plot. The friend who I saw it with managed to get over his profound dislike of Jim Carrey and empathise/sympathise (I can never remember which is which) with his character and situation. So good stuff - see it, but only if you want to.

i saw cube 2 about a year ago, and i thought it was an excellent sequel, im not going to give anything away., so just watch it if you are also interested, they are making cube zero, a prequel to cube, i hope it will be all about failed experiments and stuff, that'd be cool

think about it.. the irish are the blacks of europe, the dubliners are the blacks of ireland and the north dubliners are the blacks of dublin... so say it once and say it loud - I'm black and i'm proud.
i definately have the uncensored version... how unfun would having the other one be... i've never seen it on channel seven though..

Jimmy Rabbitte: What do you play? Punk: ...Er, I used to play football in school. Jimmy Rabbitte: I mean what instrument. Punk: I don't. Jimmy Rabbitte: Then what are you doing here? Punk: Well, the line was so long... I thought you was selling drugs.
Imelda: He eats like a pig. Natalie: Hasn't got the voice of a pig though. Bernie: Joey says it belongs to God. Billy: God should ask for it back.
Jimmy Rabbitte: What do you call yourselves? Derek: "And And And." Jimmy Rabbitte: "And And fuckin' And?" Derek: Well, Ray's thinking of putting an exclamation mark after the second "and." Says it'd look deadly on the posters. Jimmy Rabbitte: Psshh... Outspan Foster: You don't like it? You think it should go at the end? Jimmy Rabbitte: I think it should go up his arse. Outspan Foster: Well, we're not married to it.

She was good in Amelie I agree. Love that movie.
Just Saw Lost in Translation tonight. Brilliant! I like how it avoided the clichés.

Just watched Ghost Dog - The Way of the Samurai (1999). I actually really liked this film, there's so many subtle bits in it that I loved. Like how Ghost Dog's (Forrest Whittaker) best friend only speaks French, but still they can communicate without *understanding* and relate to eachother strongly. Other things like, the philosophy in which Ghost Dog lives his life and stands by without any doubt. Also, the music is really really good. It is a movie about an assassin yeah and another one of my favourite movies has the killer thing in it too, The Professional (Leon). But yeah, in the end like The Professional it isn't about cold hearted killing.
I really recommend you guys to watch this one, you might be pleasantly suprised, or angry that I made you waste a few bucks at the video store. I just love movies that are subtle and don't throw everything at you, into your face.

Touching the Void was surprisingly good for a 'dramatic recreation of events' style documentary
Control Room is also really good

I borrowed 'Punchdrunk Love' today, as suggested my the lovely Kimbleton.
i just watched the first 15 minutes without any sound... and damn it's pretty
i like doing that sometimes... works well with amelie and american beauty
cutting out the volume and only paying attention to the film work... it puts all emotions aside, all the things that could attatch you to a character, everything really... and can be seen purely for what it really is...

I love how the car flips over and over in the beginning and there's no attention paid to it or any explanation. Sandler just goes straight for the piano.
