I actually liked Singles too, the soundtrack was better though. Nothing better then Jeff Ament and Eddie Vedder acting in a movie. I think I tend to like movies with Bill Pullman in them as well, he looks "real" I think (he was great in Igby Goes Down, wooh).

I would assume so. You, Kim, and Deane are the Brisbane Trio.

In no way related to The Kingston Trio.

yeah, if you wanted to watch singles seriously, yeah.. it would suck. enjoyment of a movie all depends on how you watch it. like i can watch a crappy johnny depp movie and thoughouly enjoy it and laugh at it at the same time. or realllllllly stupid teen romance movies. they suck so bad that they're good. princess diaries was great. also the prince and me. all that nonsense. and i did watch singles mostly for the soundtrack too. if i see it one day i'll buy it. the brisbane trio. that sounds terrible. but i'm flattered to be a part of it

I tend to like those horrible romantic comedies.

Same here Kim... they're so predictable, but I'm a hopeless romantic...

I’d say I’m a hopeless romantic, but I tend to dislike most of them. They seem too fake. I want to see on-screen romance where it doesn’t feel forced and contrived. I was shown Maid in Manhattan by the airport when I was returning from Melbourne last month and my plane was delayed. It was bad. Bad bad bad.
However, I liked Serendipity when I saw that previously.

Say Anything is my number 1 "awww" film.

Before Sunrise is another good romance film that doesn’t feel contrived or forced to me. Very much "aww" and not "bleh".

I tend to have difficulty watching movies where you can sort of predict or forsee what might be coming. Thats why The Thin Red Line thoroughly impressed me for example. It was in certain ways nothing like a "common war movie" and had it's own design, not a template borrowed and reused in the setting of Guadocanal.

I finally got around to watching the Passion of the Christ on Friday night, thankfully after I had eaten dinner.
The richly detailed and evocative film has inspired me to join an introductory alpha program i so that I can learn more about the teachings of the Jesus Christ and the baptist faith itself. I hope that through enhancing my conscious connection to spirituality I might be able to become a happier, more rounded, and worthwhile person.
Just Kidding.
