Just to continue rambling about myself, apparently i will defintely be receiving a late round offer, because they stuffed so they are obliged to give me a place!

how do offers work anyways? if i say yes to round 1, is that it, no more offers? what if i say no to round 1 since it's not what i want? what if i get nothing with round 2? can i change my mind and go back to what i got in round 1? scary! You can accept round one offers and still be eligible for following offers. If you accept an offer in round one then get a higher preference in round two and accept that, the first offer you accpeted will automatically lapse. So it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm deferring for a year so I rang up the uni today and got it all arranged! I'm happy now ;D |

thanks kids. i'm doing science. woo.
it's funny. i had a job interview today (group interview too) and we all had to introduce ourselves. when i said i was going to melbourne this girl goes "you must've got such a good mark!" and i sorta shrugged and said "i guess." then i had a one-on-one interview, and the lady asked me about one achievement i was really proud of, and i did a big thing about the institute of sport, blah blah, and she stopped me and said, "what about getting into melbourne uni?" again it was the "i guess" response. has melbourne got that great a reputation? it's freaking me out!

That's what people always said when i told them i was applying for Syd Uni 'wow you must be smart' - 'um no, not exactly, what i want to do has a lower UAI than anything else at Syd Uni', so i get the prestige without that great a mark, but i'm a little worried about how much more they will expect of me  |

exactly! you only need 75/80-ish to get into science at melbourne, and that's not too hard. but the interviewer said the same thing about my workload and handling a job with them. blah. it's not rocket science.

will you be coming to monash next year jerry? (was that you? lol) So far no unfortunately I won't be attending Monash next year  I'm hoping to maybe get an offer in round two though as Monash - Science was my first preference. If not I'll be attending Victoria Uni. |

Di, I think you are getting a bit soft in your old age. The old Di would've booked a flight to Melbourne and boxed Kristy around the head with a peice of 4 x 4 until she came to her sense, upon then seducing her.

I'm feeling better, it's just a little scary thats all so i have lots of thoughts going through my head and i have a habit of wanting things so bad until i get them, so i'm hoping this isn't another one of those things! But i know i'm doing the right thing, at least i'll know once i've done it.
