Yeah Patient is on my to-get list now aswell. Hope the BBK album isn't as dissapointing as the Whitlams. Actually now I think about it, I havent actually heard any reeeeally good albums so far released this year, except maybe the Augie March album. Hope this one isn't dissapointing..all reports suggest it should be good. There seems to be a real colonial maritime style to the thing, judging by the titles. The newer songs I've heard all remind me of the sea anyway

the whitlams album wasnt BAD as such, i just felt it didnt have any really above-par songs. far too much poppy mediocrity with boring melodies and unmoving vocals. better than their last album but..meh. anything wouldve been.
someone else comment on the augie march album, i just realised no-ones said anything about it even though im sure there are a few fans who visit here.
what are the songs on patient like relative to the 2 albums that came after them?

ummm, patient is a whoooole lot louder than revenge is slow, and louder than come across too.
it's not all non-stop ear killing, there's some beautiful slow songs on there, but overall it just seems to have a very raw, feedbacky feel.
absolutely awesome. an incredibly underrated album.
In the liner notes there's a little reccomendation:
"In order to derive the maximum enjoyment from this recording we reccomend a generous usage of volume."
I'm afriad i can't comment on the latest Augie March though, i'm not a big fan of anything they've done.

it's a brilliant album, I can't wait to see one of the gigs where they play it in full. In somewhat related news, I just found out that speedstar are calling it a day. What a massive shame.

Sat 26 Aug, 2006 Manning Bar, Sydney, NSW A 13 piece ensemble version of Bluebottle Kiss will be playing Doubt Seeds in it's entirety. I can't believe this is 16 DAYS before my 18th birthday. And I look too young to pass for 18+, and am too much of an anxious, guilty bugger to make a fake ID. DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT
