Thats..awesome. Its hard to think of a setlist I'd rather hear. Hope the live album thing reaches a release. Also I still don't have slight return EP, but I havent been to any reputable cd stores in ages so haven't been looking for it really...

The BBK tour diaries from 98 to 2000 on the website are a very amusing read. They were written by Ben Fletcher. They get drunk a lot and play many shows to mediocre crowds.

Sadly I had to leave early on the first night, but still caught Elmers Gone,. which fucking kicked ever so much arse.
Frankly, I don't think the setlists were that great.
Don't get me wrong, they were sure to put in some of the all-time greatest BBK (and just in general) songs, Ice On The Road, Hitchhiking in New Zealand, Elmer's Gone, Outside Are The Dogs.
But too much off the new album, which in my opinion just is not nearly as good as their pre-Doubt Seeds stuff.
Weight Of The Sea, Your Mirror Is A Vulture and Judas Hands are are not some of my favourite BBK songs.
I think they're getting a little repetitive in the sounds of their new stuff.
But anyway, it was very enjoyable : )
Going to see Jamie solo at the Vanguard sometime in the next month or so.
Oh, and the other band were called The Seabellies, and they were quite possibly the shittest band I've ever had the displeasure of being assaulted by.

I'll be heading along to the "Discussing the Art of Songwriting" session. Steve Kilbey (of The Church) and Jamie, playing their favourite songs in a room limited to 50 people....whew. I'm really excited about this.

Finally got a copy of the Slight Return EP today. It seems okay, for a background listen. I really like the Ben Grounds song..."Here it Goes Again".
Really looking forward to Jamie's solo album. I need to get my hands on the Golden Coach somehow. Does anyone ever see it in shops these days?
Have fun at the discussion thing Kim.

Yeah, Slight Return is an awesome song, the rest on there don't do much for me (sad to say it, but true..)
Damn i'm pissed i couldn't see Jamie at the Vanguard! I had tickets and everything.. Just a shit night..
However, I will try to get to each and every one of his next 4 shows : ) They have a much more reasonable finish time of 9.30. And i can get dinner there I think..
I also realised I havn't got the Ounce of Your Cruelty single.. I'll have to get onto that..
As for Jamie's solo album, I don't see it for sale very often, if at all, so maybe the best way is to buy it through the band's website. It's not really rare or anything I don't think, just something you don't see all that often.
