Vitamin E cream should help a lot (one a little nicer than a home brand one, but nothing too expensive) I had an operation back when I was a little tacker and applying it daily helped the scar go from purple to pink, and then to a light creamy/peach colour. It also helps the texture of the scar over time, makes them smoother. Also, if it's a newish scar that hasn't properly healed yet, a Vitamin E cream with Aloe Vera would help. Aloe Vera helps to sooth pain from cuts/scrapes and helps to fasten the healing process Hope that helps!
